Kristen Vigard's CD "God, Loves & Angels" Review:

"Kristen Vigard has a soothing sweet vocal...reminds me of the fascinating intimacy Karen Carpenter had in her voice... also musically this CD is very interesting... with fine easy listening orchestral arrangements...here and there backed by seventies Burt Bacharach melodies...her song "God Give Me Strength" is a masterpiece useable for any romantic or melancholy film, it would have fit perfectly in Barbara Streisand's and Liza Minnelli's repertoire in their glory days, but Kristen presents it with a link to the music of today."

Seriously hard-won respect and praise from the chronically lyrical obsessed. In less lofty terms,lady ,you rock. I am enjoying "God, Loves and Angels"also.It strikes a beautiful, hypnotic balance between folk and etheral sounds. In consideration of your talent the notion that your sum total solo offerings (not counting contributions elsewhere) comprise a mere 2 ,or maybe 1 and a half albums,is staggering. In the context of musical history...If this body of work was all you ever did- it is enough.So yes I thank God. But I thank you too.

"Bowie influenced with unexpected vocal and musical blends,vocals at times show a Bono alike timbre...well played, good musicianship, nice arrangements and tasteful use of backing vocals, sometimes combining different ages including Waltz type arrangements with a modern french alt rock charm."
